Our back porch light was unattractive, unoriginal to the house, and not very bright. So, when I happened upon a brand new Arts and Crafts style light at a salvage store for $10, it was a no-brainer that it was meant to be on our porch.
This was a really quick project; my husband (with a little oversight from my father-in-law) had the old one down and the new one wired and up in only about an hour. The hour and $10 were well spent – not only does the new light look much, much better and is very bright, but once we pulled the old one down, we realized it was nearly rusted through.
That can’t have been safe.
Here is the new, shiny one!
