Merry Christmas!

We have begun to host our first family events in the new house this holiday season, and dang is it fun! This year was a Thanksgiving chicken dinner and a Christmas duck dinner with various family members, a great chance to finally break out our heirloom china set so it could get some use!

We also had our first big Christmas tree – so big that I actually had a difficult time getting it all in the camera frame!

Taking some decorating advice from Queen Latifah (what have I become?), extra glass ornaments were used to decorate the dining room. Here is an antique silver Art Nouveau vase, filled with silk flowers from our wedding, with a Christmas ornament, and a family porcelain jar, used to dress up the china cabinet.

It’s been a great time getting to entertain in our own home. I can’t wait to see what it looks like this time next year!

Merry Christmas!
