With Knobs On!

Over the years, some of the handles on the doors in our house were replaced with the classic 80’s bright brass:

They couldn’t even fix the door correctly behind it…

Luckily, many of the original metal doorknobs have remained. They aren’t anything particularly fancy, but at least they are ‘period’ and look classy.

Well, we lucked out and stumbled upon a fabulous antique shop only a few streets down from our house, and found a lovely crystal antique knob for only $6! It is now located on the interior of the upstairs bathroom door – this is the bathroom that is slated to be the “French” room, so this is a great way to add another fancy touch.

Ok, so now that we’ve classed up the handle, we’ll need to re-paint the plate to cover up the chipping paint, but still, it was a quick and fun project that will add a little extra touch of beauty to every day life!
